Innovators In Minsitry

Michael B. Kelly III

Head Pastor

Pastor Kelly, affectionately known as PK, is the Senior Pastor of the Mt. Rubidoux SDA church in Southern California where he has the honor of leading an amazing community of believers; who have rallied behind him, with him, and for him through the best of times and worst of times and who are committed to making an impact in the community.

“I believe strongly in building and maintaining a cohesive leadership team. Mt. Rubidoux will only go as far as our team will allow it. By working together we will accomplish our Vision of creating a church that exists to Reach People Far from God, doing whatever it takes.”

Rebecca Davis

Young Adult Pastor

Rebecca Davis was born and raised in both Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky (respectively). It was there, in Louisville and at the beginning of high school, that she was baptized into the Seventh day Adventist church having been raised Catholic during her early childhood years. After graduating high school circumstances would have it that Rebecca would get the opportunity to attend her first Adventist academic institution-Oakwood University.

Rebecca entered Oakwood as a Biochemistry major. However, during fall semester of her sophomore year Rebecca responded to an ALTAR call that would ALTER her life forever! It was there that she gave her life totally to the Lord Jesus Christ.

After graduation, Davis matriculated to Andrews University Theological Seminary enrolling in the Master’s of Divinity program. Before completing the Master’s program Rebecca took some time to go abroad. She lived in South Korea for six months where she taught English and Religion. Rebecca returned to the U.S. as well as to Andrews University and graduated with her MDiv. in August of 2007. Immediately following, Rebecca was hired by the Potomac Conference of Seventh day Adventist to serve as Chaplain of In-reach and Bible teacher at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, VA. Where she was the first African American to serve on the teaching staff there since the school’s inception.

Pastor Rebecca Davis has two amazing, and beautiful children. Justin Zachary Davis II and Olivia Nicole Davis. They truly are gifts from the Living God!

In March of 2011, Rebecca Davis received a call to the South Atlantic Conference where she served as Associate Pastor at the Berean Seventh- day Adventist Church in Atlanta, GA for four years. Pastor Rebecca Davis is the first woman in the South Atlantic Conference to be installed as “senior” pastor in her own church district, which is known as the Washington-Thomson, GA district. In September of 2017 Pastor Davis

was introduced at the Mount Rubidoux SDA Church in Riverside, California as its new young adult pastor. Since her introduction she has successfully launched, under young adult ministry, The Front Porch, Backyard, #GOALS, and NeighborGood. Pastor Davis is also the pastor over Groups, which includes: Family Life, Adult Sabbath School, and Grow Groups.

Everyone who knows Rebecca knows that she is passionate about prayer. Her life and ministry all reflect a passion to draw near to God through this powerful and life-changing privilege. Along with her love for prayer, Davis has a keen eye and precision in dissecting and preaching God’s word. Pastor Davis preached her first evangelistic effort in July 2012 where over 75 precious souls gave their lives to the Lord. She just recently ran her own evangelistic initiative where she baptized 40 people. 95% of them being between the ages of 18-40. In September of 2012 Pastor Davis launched a young adult ministry-Connect. Ministering to anywhere between 250 and 300 young adults biweekly, Connect has become a movement of young adults with plans to impact the community and the world! Most recently, Connect Orlando, Connect Baltimore, Connect Phoenix, Connect Charlotte, Connect Andrews, and Connect Gwinnett have launched as franchises under the Connect Ministry.

Pastor Rebecca Davis wants nothing more than to SEE Jesus and wants to lead others to see Him

also…to see Him in this present world and in the world to come!
